There are many masters, styles, movements, techniques, and mediums... they collectively represent and encompass ‘art’. But what is art? I like to see art as a visual language. It is universal dialect which provokes emotion, feelings, and thoughts, as all languages do. Art can tell a story, portray a feeling, or simply make a statement. But most importantly, it is up to the individual to understand and appreciate that message, and that can depend on everything.
